Reservation

I made a reservation on the Internet, is there anything else I need to do?
We respond by e-mail to confirm your reservation details. If the details are correct , you need to pay your deposit within 4 days of our reply. The balance can be paid on check-in.
How far in advance can I book?
You can book up to 4 months in advance by the internet. If you call us, you can book up to 12 months in advance.
Can I change my reservation?
Please e-mail or call us with your details and changes.
Can we reserve a room the same day we arrive?
Call us. If we have a room we will happily take your booking.
Can I book a nonsmoking room?
Yes, you can. We have some western-style and Japanese-style rooms available.
Are there cancellation charges?
The following cancellation and booking reduction changes apply.

Handling fee 1,000 yen and the following cancelation fee.

Is there a shuttle bus from Hakuba station?
Yes. Please book pick-up with your reservation.

Yes. We have free parking for our guests.
I am driving. Do I need snow chains?
Yes. You will definitely need them from December to March. You should bring them in November and April in case of snow.

Please check-in by 8:00pm. If you will be later, please inform the front desk ASAP.
How late can I check-in?
11:00pm is the latest.

Paying the bills

Does the rate include a service fee?
No service fee is charged by the hotel.
Is there a consecutive stay discount?
We don't offer a discount for this.
Do you offer any special packages?
We have no special packages.
Do I get discounted admission to Art Galleries?
By staying at OHARUKANOYU you recive a discount.
Can you pay the balance by credit card?
Yes. You can. We accept.

Accommodation

How many people can stay in a room?
4-5 people for the Japanese-style room(22 rooms) and 2-4 people for the Western-style room(13 rooms).

Can I stay by myself?
You can stay by yourself except for Golden week, Summer school holiday, before or after New Year, Saturdays and specified dates. Please contact us for details.

Can I stay with my pet?
Sorry. We don't allow pets to stay.

Children

What are the childrens' rates?
  • Primary school child 70% of the adult rate
  • Infant (meal and futon required) 50% of the adult rate
  • Infant (meal only required) 2500yen
  • Infant (meal and futon not required) 1000yen

Do you have a bed for babies?
Sorry. We don't provide cribs.

Is there a baby-sitter available?
No. We don't provide that service.

Can you provide baby food?
Sorry. We don't provide baby food.

Meals

What time is breakfast served?
Breakfast is available from 7:00am to 9:00am.

Can I bring my own food and drink?
Sorry. You are not allowed to bring your own food and drink.

Service

Are there discounted meals for the guest of the hotel?
Sorry. No further discounts apply to meals for hotel guests.

Do you have cleaning service?
No. We don't provide a cleaning service.
Please use our coin laundry.

Do you have amenities(hair dryer, towels)?
Yes. We have amenities in your room.

Do you have any facilities for disabled persons?
Yes. We have wheelchairs available.

Is the toilet Western or Japanese style?
It is Western-style with bidet function.

Is there medical assistant at the hotel?
We do not have a doctor or nurse at the hotel but we do have basic first aid and medicines available at the front desk.

Can I book the springs for private use only?
No. The springs are there for all guests.

Do you have room service?
No, we do not provide room service.

Can I rest in the hotel without a hotel booking?
No. A booking is necssary.

Can I use a room for breaks during the day?
Yes. You may use your room anytime during your stay.

Can I use the Shionomichi Hot Spring(Garden-no-yu) without staying at the hotel?
Yes. Please ask the front desk. Please refer to this page.

Can you arrange a taxi for sightseeing?
Yes. We can arrange this at the front desk.

Skiing

Can we hire ski or snowboading equipment from the hotel?
Yes. We have a full range of equipment available for hire.

What else can we do apart from skiing?
You can also enjoy onsen(hot spring), art galleries and so on.

Do you have discounts on ski lift tickets?
Yes. The discounts are available at "Hakuba Goryu" and "47".

Are we limited to where we can use our ski hire equipment?
No. You can use them at any ski areas as long as you return them to us.

Is there a nursery in each skiing area?
Hakuba Goryu: Yes

Happo: Kids' room(a gurdian is required)
Iwatake: Yes

Is there a locker room?
Yes. We have a locker room.

Is there a drying room for the ski equipment?
Yes. We have a drying room.

What is the climate?
It is very different from Tokyo.Please click here for local weather.

Is there a no-smoking area in the hotel?
The lobby is a non-smoking area.During meal times the restaurant is also non-smoking.

Is there a convenience store nearby?
There is one five minutes from OHARUKANOYU.

Is there an ATM nearby?
There are ATMs at Seven-Eleven and Lawson in Hakuba-mura.
